prosperity, popularity & Power
The three temptations of man are universally and globally present. Every human being from birth to death is tempted by these three things. We are all engineered as human beings to purse these three things - prosperity, popularity and power. Prosperity is about our need to indulge ourselves and get for ourselves those things that bring us comfort and pleasure. Popularity is about our need to be applauded, affirmed, and recognized as a person that has a unique and intrinsic value. Our desire for power is to satisfy our desire to be worshiped by at least someone other person to be followed. We want to be leaders large and in charge of something or someone.
Essentially, the quest for personal prosperity, popularity, and power is one in which we take advantage of any and all others around us. We are all familiar with the saying, "If you do not look out for number one nobody else will." When mamma dies or is no longer in our presence we are pretty much on our own. And so we learn to live in a self-sufficient way in which we watch out for our own personal prosperity, personal popularity, and personal power. Mamma gave us these growing up if she was a good mamma, but we will pursue them until the date of our death, or until we achieve them.
Contentment is a great word and great pursuit that is rarely achieved by human beings because there is something in them that is hard to satisfy, something deep within them that craves for more. So in the pursuit of those things, from the time that we are born until we die, we learn how to live. We are born with an empty mind, but with instincts that cause us to cry, or laugh, or somehow express in infant terms that we need food, we need to be changed, we're thirsty, we need something, and someone comes to our aid. From that point on, we learn from our parents and our peers and our authority figures that are a part of our original, cultural circle.
In the process of living, the process of learning, the process of education, we're given information about how to achieve those things in life that will make us responsible human beings , and help us achieve happiness or satisfaction, or some measure of contentment and peace. Unfortunately, what we learn in our cultural experience as infants is as varied and radically different as the ocean is from the mountain peak. If we we're raised in an oppressive culture, we become suppressed. If we were raised in a progressive culture, we become civilized. If we are raised in a religious culture, we become religious. If we are raised in a irreligious culture, we become irreligious.
However, what we choose to believe and what therefore forms our beliefs which effects our emotions and effects our thinking and effects our activities and expressions is largely determined not just by our culture, but by what we want to believe. All of us our aware of rebellious children who choose exactly the opposite of what their parents try to teach them, or their peers, or their teachers, or other authority figures. So just because we are in a culture we will adopt the culture. Most of us will. Many will choose to be opposite or anything that is different because they are trying to make a statement about their uniquely differentness from ever other human being. Unfortunately, we don't need to pursue the proof that we're uniquely crafted. It's just true Every human being is different. DNA is different. So the pursuit of the three P's is that which is innate, bred, and born in us, and then further promoted by our culture and our desire. In order to achieve contentment in the pursuit of these three powerful urges in us, we must find some point within us there is enough prosperity, enough popularity, and enough power that we can stop pursuing. So the webinars that we offer, the teachings we bring to you to help you to dispel the misinformation and misperception you got from your parents, your culture, place of birth, and your nature tendencies to help you find real truth so you can reach that point of contentment in the achievement of the three things that you pursue the most.
